The Good News of Jesus Christ

The Gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead. This is what makes it possible for us to be forgiven and have eternal life. The Gospel is also the message that God desires to have a relationship with us, and through Jesus, we can have one. Being connected to a church is a great way to learn more about the Gospel and grow in your faith.

Before Jesus came there was no way for people to be connected to God. People had to sacrifice animals in order to cover their sins, but these sacrifices could never really take away sin because the blood of the animal was only able to cover it for a short time. And if even one sin wasn’t covered by an animal sacrifice, then that person would still be separated from God forever.

Jesus is the perfect sacrifice for sin because He stayed perfectly righteous while He lived on earth. When Jesus died, His blood was shed and it brought salvation to all who would believe in Him!

We Want You to Experience Life to the Fullest

The Trinity of God

The Trinity is one of the most important truths about God. It is not an idea that came from man, but it comes directly from Scripture. The Bible tells us that there are three persons in the one true God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17). These three persons are equal to each other in their divinity, power, eternity, and authority. They all do what they want with no need for anyone’s permission.

The Father sent His Son into our world to take away our sins (John 3) – Jesus was fully human as well as fully God! He became like us so we could be like Him (Hebrews 2:10). Our salvation depends on this truth; if Jesus had only been God, then He couldn’t save us. But if Jesus had only been human, then He couldn’t have saved us either. Only by being both fully God and fully man could Jesus have the authority to forgive sins.

Jesus’ death on the cross is our greatest gift of love! It was a genuine sacrifice of salvation for all who believe. To thank God for this gift, we should acknowledge Him as the only true God and give our lives to Him (Romans 10:9). We can do this through prayer – talking to God!

When someone believes in Jesus Christ for salvation they become a new person; they are born again. This means that their views of life and what they think is important need to change. Believing in Jesus means that we want to live differently than we did before we knew Him – our focus shifts from ourselves to God.

Forming a Powerful Prayer Life

The Bible says that when we pray, we are communicating with God. Prayer is a conversation with our Father in heaven. We can talk to Him about anything from the simplest of requests to the deepest longings in our hearts and minds.

Prayer can also be a form of worship – praising and thanking God for who He is and what He has done on behalf of His people (1 Chronicles 16:8). It’s an act of faith; it means trusting that even though you may not see the answer, God does hear your prayers (Psalm 66:19-20).

The most important thing about prayer is this: prayer changes things! The Bible tells us that “the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:16). The power to change things for the better is available through prayer. Some examples of this are praying for safety, praying for someone who is sick, or praying for a family member before they make a life-changing decision.

Reading and Knowing the Bible

The Bible is a compilation of 66 different books that were written over a period of about 1,600 years. It is the authoritative source of Christian beliefs and teachings. The Bible is God’s Word, and it is alive and powerful (Hebrews 4:12).

When reading the Bible, it’s important to keep in mind that it was not written as a single book, but as multiple books that were compiled over time. It can be helpful to read the Bible in chronological order so you can see how the different stories fit together.

Another helpful way to read the Bible is to focus on one passage at a time. Ask God to help you understand what He is saying in that passage and what He wants you to learn from it (2 Timothy 2:15).

The Bible is meant to be read and studied; there are many good resources available for learning more about the Bible. It’s important to understand that you can never fully understand everything in the Bible – it has infinite depth! The best thing you can do is start reading it every day!

Learning to Follow Jesus

Discipleship is the process of learning to follow Jesus Christ. It begins when we recognize our need for salvation and God’s amazing grace, and it continues as we grow in our knowledge and understanding of Him.

Discipleship involves growing in our relationship with Jesus Christ, obeying Him, and sharing His love with others. It’s a lifelong journey that leads us into a closer relationship with our Heavenly Father.

One important aspect of discipleship is learning to study the Bible. We can’t expect to grow in our faith if we don’t know what the Bible teaches. The Bible is the authoritative source of Christian beliefs and teachings, and it’s important to learn how to read and understand it.

Another important aspect of discipleship is praying to God. As we get closer to Jesus, we should be able to talk to him more easily and with greater confidence (Luke 11:1-13).

Also important is learning about the Church and the Christian community. Churches provide a way for us to learn from others who are on the same journey that we are (Hebrews 10:24-25). Jesus said that he would build his Church, and every Christian should be part of a local church (Matthew 16:18).
