Types of Prayer
There are many types of prayer, but the most common is prayer of petition, thanksgiving, and intercession.
Prayer of Petition
Prayer of petition is when we ask God for something we need or want. This could be something as simple as a parking spot opening up when we’re running late for a meeting, or as complicated as asking God to heal a loved one who is sick. We should always pray with faith, knowing that God is able to do great things.
Thanksgiving Prayer
Thanksgiving prayer is a time to give thanks to God for all the good things He has done in our lives. We can thank Him for the blessings we’ve received, for answered prayers, and even for the tough times He has brought us through. When we give thanks, it shows that we trust Him and that we believe He is good.
Intercession Prayer
Intercession prayer is when we pray for others – both Christians and non-Christians. We can pray for their safety, for their salvation, and for their needs to be met. We can also pray for God’s will to be done in their lives. Prayer is a powerful way to show love and compassion for others.

Baptism
Baptism is an important step of obedience for Christians. It is a public declaration of our faith in Jesus Christ and our commitment to follow Him. Baptism is also a symbol of our new relationship with God – we are washed clean of our sins and we are given the gift of the Holy Spirit.
There are many scriptures about baptism. Some of our favorites are Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, and Galatians 3:27.
Mark 16:16 says, “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” This scripture is saying that if we believe in Jesus Christ and are baptized, we will be saved.
Acts 2:38 says, “And Peter said to them, ‘Repent and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’” This scripture is saying that repentance and baptism are necessary for the forgiveness of sins.
Galatians 3:27 says, “For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” This scripture is saying that when we are baptized, we put on Christ. We become one with Him and we are part of His family.
