God’s Church, His People, and His Body
The Body of Christ is a term used in the New Testament to describe the church. The church is the body of Christ because it is composed of all of those who have placed their faith in Him. Ephesians 1:22-23 says, “And He put all things under His feet and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” The church is the body of Christ because it is the visible representation of Him on earth.
