Jesus So Loves the World!
Jesus is the Son of God, who died on the cross for our sins. He rose from the dead and now lives in Heaven with God the Father. Jesus loves all people. He is our Savior, and we can have an eternal relationship with Him through His death on the cross for us.
The Bible tells the story of Jesus. The four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) tell the story of His life starting at birth and continuing to His ministry after He was baptized by John the Baptist. The rest of the New Testament tells the story of what happened after God raised Jesus from the dead and He ascended into Heaven.

Becoming His Followers
We are all called to be disciples of Christ — people who will carry out the mission of the Church to spread His good news so others can know about God’s gift of eternal life. Discipleship involves actively learning and growing in a relationship with Him, sharing what we’re learning with other people, and inviting them into a relationship with God.
Jesus Christ invites us to be a part of His family, through baptism and the Holy Spirit. Baptism is a symbol of our faith in Jesus – we show our commitment to Him by being fully immersed underwater as a picture of him rising from the dead on the third day. We believe that this is an outward sign that inwardly, we’ve given our lives to Christ. The Holy Spirit is God’s presence with us, empowering us to live for Jesus and share Him with other people.

Prayer and Intercession
When most people think of prayer, they think of asking God for things — like healing for a sick friend, or money to pay the bills. And while prayer is definitely about communicating with God and sharing our needs with Him, it’s so much more than that! Prayer is also a way to connect with God on a deeper level, to build our relationship with Him, and to worship Him.
Intercession is praying for others — not just for what we want, but for God’s best to be done in their lives. Did you know that Jesus is interceding for you at this very moment? He’s not just praying for His Father to give you what you want, but to give you what He knows is best for your life.
Prayer and intercession are powerful ways God wants us to come close to Him so we can discover more of who He is!
The Bible is filled with scriptures about prayer. A few examples are:
“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” Ephesians 6:18
“This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’” Matthew 6:9-13
“I tell you, whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24
What is Worship?
Worship is an act of love and reverence we give to God. It’s an opportunity for us to come close to Him, to express our love for Him, and to thank Him for all He’s done for us. We can worship God in spirit and in truth by singing praises to Him, praying, reading the Bible, and obeying His commands.
How to Worship in Spirit and in Truth
When we worship God, it should be with all our hearts. We should come to Him with a humble attitude, recognizing that we are nothing without Him. We should also come prepared to learn more about who He is and what He’s doing in our lives. As we worship Him, let’s also listen to what He has to say — we can learn more about Him and His mission by reading the Bible.
Jesus is constantly guiding us towards worshiping God in spirit and truth: that means worshipping God with everything we have, and obeying the words of Jesus as we do it!
Holy Spirit: Our Helper
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, and He is just as much God as Jesus and the Father are. He is often called the “Spirit of God,” or the “Holy Spirit.” The Holy Spirit is a part of creation, and He was present at the beginning of time.
He is also involved in our lives today, guiding us and teaching us about Jesus. The Holy Spirit helps us to understand Scripture, pray effectively, and be filled with love for others.
The Holy Spirit is our helper, and He will always help us to follow God’s commands.
The Bible: Truth Revealed
God reveals Himself through the Bible, which is a collection of writings from over 40 authors in different times and places. The words in this book are inspired by God, meaning that they’re not just our ideas about God — they come directly from Him.
The Bible contains hundreds of instructions, including commands about how to live our lives. We should read the Bible every day because God wants us to understand His will for our lives! And while we may find it difficult to understand everything in the Bible on our own, God is always with us, helping us learn more about Him and what He wants for us.
The Bible is the only book that truly contains everything we need to know in order to follow Jesus’s commands!
