What is Christianity? This is a difficult question to answer because Christianity can mean different things to different people.

At its core, Christianity is about following Jesus Christ – who he was, what he did, and what he taught.

But Christians also believe in the Bible as God’s Word, and that it is authoritative for all of life.

Christianity also involves community – being connected to other believers and worshipping together.

Ultimately, Christianity is about a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

The Free Gift of Salvation Through Jesus Christ

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead so that we could be forgiven and have eternal life. It’s a message of hope and salvation, and it’s the best news anyone could ever hear!

When people first hear the gospel, they may not understand everything about it. But it’s important to remember that Christianity is a faith – we don’t have to understand everything in order to believe it.

God has revealed Himself through Jesus Christ and through the Bible. We can trust that what He has said is true, even if we don’t understand everything about it.

The most important thing is to commit your life to Jesus Christ, and start following Him. He will guide you and teach you more about the Christian faith.

God’s People: The Church

The body of Christ is the church – the community of believers who follow Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches that the church is important and that we need to be connected to it.

The church is a place where we can find fellowship and support, and it’s a place where we can grow in our faith. It’s also a place where we can share the gospel with others, and help to spread the love of Jesus Christ.

The Bible: A Word From God to Humanity

The Bible is a set of stories, songs, and teachings that come from God. It is the word of God to us in written form.

The Bible has been passed on for over 2,000 years and is still read today by Christians around the world. It contains all 66 books (39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament) written by 40 different writers during a period of about 1,600 years.

In this way it tells us what God wants us to know about him; his plans for our lives; how we should live with each other as brothers and sisters; that Jesus Christ was sent into this world to save us from sin (and its consequences); how we can be forgiven if we confess our sins to God and ask for his help; and what will happen to us after we die.

The Bible is an amazing book – it’s the most read, most translated, and most influential book ever written! It’s a great source of comfort and guidance, and it’s something that we can come back to time and time again.

How to Talk to God

Prayer is a way for us to communicate with God. We can talk to him about anything – our concerns, our joys, our fears, or just tell him how much we love him.

Prayer is also a way for us to receive God’s guidance and direction in our lives. He often speaks to us through his Word, but he can also speak to us through prayer.

Prayer is an important part of the Christian life, and we encourage you to make it a part of your daily routine.

Baptism

Baptism is an outward expression of our decision to follow Jesus Christ. It’s a way for us to show that we have been forgiven and that we are now part of God’s family.

If you have never been baptized, we encourage you to speak to your pastor or church leader about it. It’s a great way to publicly declare your faith in Jesus Christ, and it’s a great way to start your journey as a follower of Christ.

Sharing Your Faith

Evangelism is the sharing of the gospel – the good news that Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again so that we can have eternal life. It is our responsibility as Christians to share this good news with others.

Evangelism can take many different forms, but it always starts with a relationship. We need to be intentional about building relationships with people, and then we need to be prepared to share the gospel with them when the opportunity arises.

God is at work in the world, and through evangelism, we can help him to spread his love and his truth to all people!

Community/Church Connections

It’s important for us to be connected to a church community. Churches provide us with an opportunity to connect with other believers, serve God together, and grow in our faith.

If you are not currently connected to a church community, we encourage you to find one that you can be a part of. There are many different types of churches out there, so take some time to research and find one that is a good fit for you.
