The Free Gift of Salvation
Saved by grace through faith. That’s the good news that Christians have been sharing for centuries. But what does it mean? And how can you be sure you’re saved?
The Bible is clear that we are saved by grace, which is a free gift from God. It’s not something we earn or deserve. And it’s through faith, or trust in Jesus Christ, that we receive this gift. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
If you would like to receive this gift of salvation, all you need to do is pray and ask Jesus to come into your heart. He will forgive your sins and make you part of His family forever. (Romans 10:13)

Baptism- A Symbol of New Life in Christ
Baptism is an important step of obedience for every Christian. It is a public declaration of our faith in Jesus Christ and our commitment to follow Him. It is also a symbol of the cleansing power of Jesus’ blood and our new life in Him. (Romans 6:3-4)
If you have not been baptized, we encourage you to take this step of faith. Talk to your pastor about getting baptized, and he will be happy to help you prepare.
Prayer- Talking with God
Prayer is simply talking with God. It’s sharing your heart with Him and listening for His voice in return. When we pray, we can bring our concerns and praise to Him, and He promises to hear us. (1 John 5:14-15)
Prayer is a vital part of the Christian life, and we encourage you to make it a priority. If you’re not sure how to pray, just talk to God as you would a friend. He loves to hear from His children!
The Bible- God’s Word for Us
The Bible is God’s Word, and it is powerful! It can change our lives when we read it and apply it to our lives. (Hebrews 4:12)
If you’ve never read the Bible before, or if you’re not sure where to start, we recommend reading the book of John. This book tells us about Jesus and His love for us. As you read, ask God to help you understand what you’re reading and to apply it to your life.
Evangelism- Sharing the Good News
As Christians, we have the good news of Jesus Christ to share with the world! And we are called to share this good news with those who are lost and need a Savior. (Matthew 28:19-20)
Sharing our faith can be scary, but it doesn’t have to be. Just start by talking to people about Jesus and His love for them. You can also hand out Gospel tracts or invite people to church. The most important thing is to be obedient to what God is asking you to do, and He will give you the boldness and the words to say. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Have Faith!
What does it mean to have faith? Faith is a belief in something without proof. This can be anything from the existence of God, to the power of prayer, or even the effectiveness of certain rituals. It’s important for Christians because we are called to share our faith with those who don’t know about Jesus’ love for them.
To many people, Christian faith seems unreasonable- why should I believe something that I can’t see? The Bible has an answer for this question: “Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we cannot see.” (Hebrews 11:1) It takes more than just believing in something; it also requires trust and action on our part.
The most common way that people grow in their faith is by reading the Bible and spending time in prayer. As we read God’s Word, He speaks to us and reveals Himself to us. And as we pray, we develop a relationship with Him and learn to trust Him more.
If you’re not sure where to start, we recommend reading the book of John. This book tells us about Jesus and His love for us. As you read, ask God to help you understand what you’re reading and to apply it to your life.
We also encourage you to get involved in a Bible study or small group. These groups provide an opportunity to dive deeper into God’s Word and learn alongside other believers.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and is also called “The Comforter” in John 14:16.
He is often depicted as a dove, symbolizing that He comes to us with gentleness and peace. His job is to remind us of God’s love for us, convicting us when we need it and giving power when we feel weak. The Holy Spirit can inhabit different parts of our body- like our mind or heart- depending on what we need at the moment.
