Knowing and Following Jesus

What does it mean to follow Jesus? It means to believe in Him, to trust in Him, and to obey Him. When you follow Jesus, you are committing yourself to Him and His ways. You are following the example He set for us during His time on earth. And by doing so, you are promised eternal life with Him in heaven.

Jesus is the only way to know God. He is the way, the truth, and the life. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6) This means that if you want to have a relationship with God, you must come through Jesus. There is no other way.

God’s Word to Man

The Bible is God’s Word. It is His instruction manual for how we should live our lives. The Bible tells us about who God is, what He has done for us, and what He desires for us. It also contains prophecies about Jesus’ coming and instructions on how to follow Him. We can trust that the Bible is true because it was written by men who were inspired by God.

Celebrating Baptism

Baptism is an important step of obedience after accepting Jesus as your Savior. When you are baptized, you are declaring to the world that you have decided to follow Jesus Christ and are now His disciple. Baptism also symbolizes the death of your old life and the beginning of your new life in Christ. If you have not been baptized, we encourage you to take this step of obedience.

Prayer: Talking with God

Prayer is simply talking with God. It is a conversation between you and Him. You can talk to God about anything – your joys, your sorrows, your fears, your desires. He wants to hear from you! Prayer is one of the most important things you can do as a follower of Jesus Christ.

Why We Evangelize

As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to share the good news about Him with others. Evangelism is simply sharing the gospel message with those who don’t know Jesus Christ. It is an important part of our faith and something we should be passionate about. We want everyone to have the opportunity to know Jesus Christ and receive eternal life through Him.

Here are a few tips on evangelism:

1. Pray for opportunities to share the gospel.

2. Be prepared to share the good news about Jesus Christ.

3. Be patient and respectful when talking with others about Jesus Christ.

4. Be willing to answer questions about Christianity.

5. Share your own story of how Jesus Christ has changed your life.

6. Encourage others to read the Bible and learn more about Christianity.

7. Invite others to attend a church service or Bible study with you.

8. Pray for those who have heard the gospel message but have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior.

A Love So Great

The love of God is unfathomable. It is a love that is so great, it can forgive any sin. No matter what we have done, God loves us and desires to have a relationship with us. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, we become part of His family and are forgiven for our sins. We are also given the gift of eternal life.

God’s love is also unconditional. He loves us no matter what we do or how we behave. His love never fails us, and it is always there for us. The Bible says, “God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

God’s love is also sacrificial. He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins. This is the ultimate act of love. When we receive Jesus Christ as our Savior, we are forgiven and given eternal life.

“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

“Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” – John 15:13

God is Faithful

God is faithful. He is always there for us, no matter what we do. His love never fails us, and He is always willing to forgive us. The Bible says, “For I am confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for Him” (Psalm 27:13-14).

When we are going through difficult times, it is important to remember that God is with us. He is our hope and our strength. We can trust Him to see us through anything. The Bible says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).

God is also faithful to His promises. He always keeps His Word. The Bible says, “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?” (Numbers 23:19).

We can trust God to keep His promises. He is always faithful to us.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28

“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?” – Numbers 23:19
