The Good News

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is good news for everyone! It is the good news that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and that he rose from the dead. This is why we need to be baptized because through baptism we are identifying with Jesus’ death and resurrection. When we repent of our sins and put our trust in Jesus, we are saved and can have a relationship with God. The Bible is God’s Word, and it is our guide for living. We need to read it regularly and allow it to change us. Evangelism is sharing the gospel with others so that they can be saved too.

Jesus was the perfect sacrifice for our sins, dying on the cross for us. This means that through faith in him, we can receive forgiveness for our past wrongdoings and have eternal life with God.

Who is Jesus?

Jesus is the Son of God. He is the Messiah who was prophesied in the Old Testament. He came to earth to die for our sins, and he rose from the dead. Jesus is the only way to know God and have a relationship with him. When we trust in Jesus, we are saved and have eternal life.

There are many scriptures in the Bible that talk about who Jesus is. Here are a few of them:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him, nothing was made that has been made.” – John 1:1-3

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” – Acts 4:12

We Want You to Experience Life to the Fullest

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is a person of the Godhead and is often referred to as “the third person” of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit’s role in Christianity includes convicting people about their sins, drawing them closer to Jesus Christ, and empowering believers with gifts for ministry.

Jesus and His Church

God wants his people to be connected to a church. We need the support of other believers in order to live out our faith, and the path towards Christian maturity is found within the community of God’s people. Churches are where we gather together as a family with fellow believers, worship God through singing and hearing the Word of God preached, receive the sacraments of baptism and communion, experience fellowship with other people through community service projects, pray together as a united body, and learn to share this good news by evangelizing others. They are where we have spiritual accountability for each other’s lives.

The Church is the Body of Christ on the earth. Churches in Manila provide a place of care, comfort, hope, and encouragement when things get tough in our lives. They have a particular responsibility to meet the needs of those with physical and emotional handicaps, and they provide a place of ministry where people with special needs can be equipped for service with their gifts. Churches in Manila also exist to help us get along better with others; we learn how to resolve conflicts, share life struggles together, and extend forgiveness to one another. Churches help us see each others’ lives more clearly, and they can give us perspective on life’s challenges so that we don’t feel overwhelmed by the pressures of daily living. Churches are where we grow in our perseverance for God through worship, prayer, Bible study, fellowship with other Christians, outreach into the community, and spiritual accountability. Jesus calls the Church to the responsibility to care for the poor and disempowered, including widows, orphans, and people with physical disabilities. Churches are where we learn how to live our lives in a way that brings honor and glory to God.

Discipleship in Christianity

Discipleship is a lifelong process of following Jesus Christ. It involves learning about who he is, what he has done for us, and how to live our lives in a way that brings him glory. As we grow in our faith, we are equipped to become disciples ourselves and share the good news of Jesus Christ with others. Discipleship requires time and commitment, but it is ultimately a very rewarding experience.

Tips on Prayer

When it comes to prayer, there are no hard and fast rules. The important thing is that we take the time to communicate with our Heavenly Father, voicing our concerns and thanksgiving, and seeking his guidance for our lives. Here are a few tips to get started:

1. Find a place where you can be alone and undistracted. This can be in your room, in a quiet spot outside, or even in the car while you’re driving.

2. Get into a comfortable position. You don’t have to kneel down or put your hands together in a certain way – just find a position that is physically comfortable and allows you to focus on your prayer.

3. Speak from the heart. God already knows what you need, but he wants us to pray about it. Don’t be worried about using the right words; just express your heart’s desire to God; you can even use everyday language if that makes it more natural for you.

4. Pray in faith. We don’t always know what will happen when we pray, but God promises to answer our prayers if we are faithful to him.

5. Keep it short. Don’t feel like you have to pray for hours, especially if you are just starting out. It’s better to have a shorter prayer that is heartfelt than to spend half an hour worrying about what you’re going to say!
