God’s Holy People

The body of Christ refers to all of those who have placed their faith in Him – there is one body because we are all united in Him. The Church is the physical manifestation of that body, and as such, is a vital part of our faith. We need to be connected to the Church in order to grow in our faith and to be disciples of Jesus Christ. The Church provides opportunities for fellowship, discipleship, and evangelism, and it is through these activities that we can come to know God more fully and serve Him more effectively.

Getting Connected To Christian Community

When you become a Christian, you become a part of the body of Christ. This is a spiritual connection that unites all believers around the world. As part of this body, we need to be connected to other Christians in order to grow in our faith and to be disciples of Jesus Christ.

Churches offer many opportunities for fellowship which is crucial for Christians. It is how we build relationships with other believers and support each other in our faith journey. Churches also provide opportunities for discipleship which helps us to grow in our relationship with Christ. And finally, churches offer opportunities for evangelism which allows us to share the good news of Jesus Christ with those who do not yet know Him.

Water Baptism

Baptism is an important step of obedience for every Christian. It is a public declaration of our faith in Jesus Christ and our commitment to follow Him. Baptism also symbolizes our death to sin and new life in Christ. If you have not yet been baptized, we encourage you to speak to your pastor about taking this important step of obedience.

The Power of Prayer

Prayer is an essential part of the Christian life. It is how we communicate with God and it is through prayer that He speaks to us. Prayer should be a regular part of our daily lives, and we should be spending time in prayer both individually and as a church community. If you are not sure how to pray, there are many resources available that can help you to get started.

The Bible: The Word of God

Evangelism: Sharing the Good News

As Christians, we have been given the good news of Jesus Christ, and it is our responsibility to share that good news with those who do not yet know Him. Evangelism is not always easy, but it is an essential part of our faith.

Here are a few tips for sharing the gospel:

Pray for guidance. Before you share the gospel, pray for guidance and for the Holy Spirit to lead you. He will guide you in what to say and how to say it.

Start with what they already believe. When sharing the gospel, start with what the person already believes. Build on that foundation and try to show how the Christian faith fulfills their beliefs in a better way than any other religion.

Use personal stories. When possible, use personal stories to illustrate your points. People are more likely to listen when they can relate to what you are saying. Then be prepared to answer questions. Be prepared to answer any questions the person may have about Christianity or about your own faith journey. You may then have to deal with objections honestly. If the person has objections to Christianity, deal with them honestly and try to answer them as best you can. Be patient and understanding, and remember that not everyone will accept the gospel right away.

Sharing the gospel can be a daunting task, but it is an important one. Churches offer many resources to help equip Christians for evangelism, and we would encourage you to take advantage of those resources.
