Knowing God: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
The doctrine of the Trinity is one of the most important teachings in Christianity. It states that there is one God in three persons, namely, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are equal in power and glory. They are co-eternal and co-existent.
The Father is not the Son, nor is the Son the Father. They are distinct persons but share the same divine nature. The Holy Spirit proceeds from both the Father and the Son. He is fully God but subordinate to neither of them.
This doctrine has been affirmed by Christians throughout history and continues to be a central teaching of the Christian faith today.

The Journey of Discipleship
A disciple is a follower of Jesus Christ. When we become disciples, we commit to following Him no matter what. We want to be like Him in every way and we want to obey His commands.
Discipleship is not a one-time event rather it is a lifelong journey. It involves growing in our knowledge of God and learning to obey Him more and more. It also involves sharing the gospel with others and helping them to come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Being part of a church community is an important part of discipleship. When we attend church services, Bible studies, and other events, we are surrounded by other believers who can help us grow in our faith. We can also encourage one another and hold each other accountable.
Declaring Our Commitment to God: Baptism
Baptism is a symbol of our faith in Jesus Christ and our commitment to follow Him. It is an outward expression of the inward decision we have made to trust in Jesus as our Savior.
When we are baptized, we are buried with Christ and raised to new life. This new life is possible because of what Jesus did for us on the cross. He died in our place so that we could be forgiven and have eternal life.
Prayer
Prayer is how we communicate with God. It is how we express our praise, thanksgiving, requests, and confessions to Him. Prayer is a powerful tool that God has given us to use in order to grow closer to Him.
When we pray, we should be honest and open with God. We can share our joys and our sorrows with Him. We can also ask Him for help and guidance.
There are different types of prayer that we can use depending on what we want to pray about. Some of the most common types of prayer are:
-Praise and thanksgiving: This type of prayer is when we give thanks to God for all the good things He has done for us. We can praise Him for His love, mercy, and forgiveness. We can also thank Him for the blessings He has given us.
-Confession: This type of prayer is when we confess our sins to God. We ask Him to forgive us and help us to overcome temptation.
-Intercession: This type of prayer is when we pray for others. We pray for their health, salvation, and protection. We also ask God to help us to be a blessing to them.
-Supplication: This type of prayer is when we make requests of God. We can ask Him for guidance, wisdom, and strength. We can also ask Him for things that we need or want.
The Bible
The Bible is God’s Word to us. It is His guide for living a life that is pleasing to Him. The Bible contains teachings from both the Old and New Testaments. The Bible is the inspired word of God. It is His love letter to us. In it, we find everything we need to know about Him and His will for our lives.
When we read the Bible, we should seek to understand it in its entirety. We should also look for ways to apply its teachings to our lives. The Bible is a source of comfort and encouragement, and it can teach us about God’s character and how He desires us to live.
The Bible is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). It is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path (Psalm 119:105).
As Christians, it is important that we read the Bible every day. This helps us to grow in our relationship with God and to better understand His will for our lives.
Evangelism
Evangelism is the act of sharing the gospel with others. It is telling them about Jesus Christ and His offer of forgiveness and eternal life. Evangelism is not just about getting people to believe in Jesus. It is also about helping them to grow in their faith and to become disciples of Christ.
As Christians, we are called to share the gospel with others. This is the Great Commission that Jesus gave to His disciples before He ascended into heaven (Matthew 28:18-20). We are to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations.
When we evangelize, we should do so with love and compassion. We should seek to build relationships with those we are evangelizing and to meet their needs. We should also be prepared to share the gospel with them in a way that is relevant to their culture and understanding.
Becoming a Part of Something Bigger Than Yourself
One of the key aspects of Christianity is community. We are meant to connect with other believers and to fellowship with them. This helps us to grow in our faith and to encourage one another.
The best place for us to find community is at church. The Church is where we can connect with other Christians who share our values and beliefs. It is also where we can learn more about God and His Word.
The Church is not just a place for us to go on Sundays. It is a place where we can belong, grow, and serve. We should be active in our church community and involved in ministries that interest us.
When we are connected to a church, we are part of something larger than ourselves. We are part of a family of believers who support and encourage one another. We can also find fellowship with those who share our values and interests.
