The Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

The Trinity is one of the most mysterious doctrines in Christianity. It is the teaching that there is one God in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are equal in power and glory and are co-eternal (existing together from eternity). The Bible speaks about the Trinity throughout, and it is a doctrine that is essential to understanding Christianity.

Though we may not be able to understand it fully, we can know that the Trinity is a mystery that we must trust in. It is a doctrine that teaches us about the character of God – that He is triune, meaning that He is three in one. The Trinity teaches us about the unity of God and His love for us. We can worship Him, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We can pray to God in a way that honors Him as a Trinity, and we can depend on Him for everything – knowing that He is three in one.

We Want You to Experience Life to the Fullest

Jesus

Jesus Christ is God incarnate (God made flesh) who lived among us 2000 years ago. In His life on earth, He showed us the way to live, provided for us, healed our hurts, and saved us from our sins. He is fully God and fully man – there is no other who compares to Him. He came to earth in humility as a baby born in Bethlehem. As an infant, He was laid in a manger because there was no room for His earthly parents in the inn. He grew up just like us and walked among His people teaching them how to live and showing them what God is like. At 30, He left behind His home in Nazareth, took on the role of a servant, and began the work that would lead Him to Jerusalem where He was crucified for our sins (John 3:16).

Though He died, He was resurrected three days later – proving His complete victory over sin and death. Today, Jesus is the only way of salvation for mankind (John 14:6). Through Him alone can we be forgiven and restored to fellowship with God. He is the Savior and King of all who believe in Him!

The Holy Spirit

God the Father and God the Son sent God the Holy Spirit to be with us forever. The Holy Spirit comforts, guides, teaches, and empowers us (John 14:26). We cannot know God without His help – we can only know that which He reveals to us. We can trust Him to lead us into truth (John 16:13).

God’s Presence in Our Lives

There is no need for fear because God promises to be with His people forever (Joshua 1:5). The Spirit of God lives within each person who follows Christ, and that means that the Holy Spirit is with us always, even when we are alone. The Bible says that the Spirit of God brings to our remembrance what Christ has said (John 14:26). When we need comfort and peace, the Holy Spirit is our source (Romans 8:26-27). He never leaves us and cares for us as a shepherd cares for his sheep (Psalm 23).

God’s Church

Jesus created the Church to carry out His mission by building people in love, teaching them about Jesus, and bringing others into relationship with God. Churches exist around the world that are dedicated to these purposes. Churches can be found in almost every town or city in the world – there is one near you! Churches in Ludhiana have been given the task of proclaiming the gospel of Christ so that others can hear, believe, and be saved. Churches exist to support believers in their faith and provide a place for them to grow spiritually. Churches in Ludhiana are communities that rely on one another as they disciple those new in Christ. Churches worship together weekly, hold each other accountable, and support one another. Churches in Ludhiana consider their responsibility to the community around them, and they exist for the glory of God.

Jesus Is Coming Back Again!

The second coming of our Lord seems to be a mystery in many ways. We know that He will come back, and we know when – but we don’t know how it will happen or what to expect! But for sure, one day soon Jesus will return. Only then can there be true justice and God’s kingdom fully realized on the earth (Revelation 21-22). Jesus is coming back, and He wants people everywhere to be ready!

Prayer: Talking and Connecting with God

Prayer is the act of talking to God. It’s a way for us to have fellowship with Him, and it’s one of His primary ways of speaking to us. Prayer has been around since the beginning – even before Jesus came, people were praying.

Prayer is one way that we connect with our Creator because “prayer does not change God but rather changes the person who prays.” It can help calm your soul when you are troubled or give you hope when things get tough. Churches in Ludhiana offer prayer services every day where there is someone available for individual prayer requests and encouragement in faith (Matthew 6:5-8).

Types of Prayer

There are many different types of prayer, and each one is beneficial in its own way.

Prayer is communication with God, and it can be done in many different ways. There is no wrong way to pray – simply talking to God in your own words is the best way for you to connect with Him.

There are also specific types of prayer that can be especially helpful. Prayer warriors know the power of praying together in groups, and fasting can help us focus our prayers and deepen our connection with God. Prayer huddles are a great way for football teams to pray for success on the field, and corporate prayer can unite a church body in powerful ways.

Prayer doesn’t have to be serious all the time, but it should always be sincere.
