Following Jesus
What does it look like to follow Jesus? This is a question that has been asked throughout the ages, and the answer remains somewhat elusive. However, there are some general principles that can help us get a better idea of what it means to live as a disciple of Christ.
First and foremost, following Jesus requires obedience. In John 14:15, Jesus says “If you love me, keep my commands.” We must obey Him not out of fear or obligation, but because we want to be in relationship with Him.
Second, discipleship involves sacrifice. In Luke 9:23-24, Jesus says “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.” We must be willing to give up our own desires in order for God’s will to be done.
Thirdly, discipleship is about community. As Christians, we are called to fellowship with other believers and support one another in our walk with God (Hebrews 10:25). It’s important that we find a church home where we can connect with other followers of Christ and grow in our faith together.
These are just a few of the things that discipleship entails. If you’re interested in learning more about what it means to follow Jesus, we encourage you to explore the resources on this site and talk to a pastor or other Christian leader.

Why Should We Pray?
Prayer is one of the most important aspects of our Christian walk. It’s a way for us to communicate with God and fellowship with Him on a personal level. In prayer, we can share our concerns and joys with Him, and we can also ask Him for guidance and support. Prayer is a vital part of our relationship with God, and it’s something that we should make a priority in our lives.
Why Should We Read The Bible?
The Bible is the Word of God, and it’s essential that we read it regularly if we want to grow in our faith. The Bible contains instructions from God on how we should live our lives, and it also provides us with insight into His character. It’s important to read the Bible not just for information, but also for inspiration. When we read the Bible, we can be encouraged and challenged to live in accordance with God’s will.
What is Baptism?
Baptism is an important step in the Christian faith. It’s a way of publicly declaring your allegiance to Christ and marking the beginning of your journey as a disciple of Jesus. But what exactly is baptism, and why is it such an important ritual?
Baptism is a symbol of death and resurrection. When you are baptized, you are symbolically dying to your old self and being reborn into a new life in Christ. It’s also a declaration that you are now part of the family of God.
Baptism is not just for Christians, either. Anyone who wants to become a follower of Jesus can be baptized.
Fulfilling Our Christian Duty
The Great Commission is a key part of the Christian faith. It’s found in Matthew 28:19-20, and it instructs Christians to go out and make disciples of all nations. This is a big task, but it’s one that we can all be involved in.
One way to participate in The Great Commission is by sharing your faith with others. When you tell someone about Jesus and what He has done for you, you’re giving them an opportunity to respond and come to know Him themselves.
Another way to participate in The Great Commission is by supporting missionaries who are spreading the gospel around the world. You can pray for them, send them financial support, or even go on mission trips yourself.
No matter how you choose to participate, remember that The Great Commission is a vital part of our faith journey. Let’s commit ourselves to fulfil it together!
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is a mysterious figure in the Bible. Though He is mentioned often, we know relatively little about Him. In this article, we will explore who the Holy Spirit is and what He does.
The Holy Spirit is one of three members of the Trinity (the other two members are God the Father and Jesus Christ). He is a separate person, but He is also part of God. The Bible says that the Holy Spirit “proceeds from” the Father and that He was sent to earth by Jesus after His resurrection (John 15:26).
The Holy Spirit has many roles in the Christian faith. He helps us understand the Bible, leads us into truth, comforts us during difficult times, and gives us the power to do good works (Acts 1:8). He also enables us to be baptized with the power of God (Matthew 3:11) and to receive spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12:4-11).
Though we don’t know everything about Him, we can rest assured that the Holy Spirit is a powerful force for good in our lives. Let’s thank Him for His guidance and love!
God Loves Us All
When we think of God, love is often one of the first things that comes to mind. After all, Jesus said that the second greatest commandment is to love our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22:39). And the apostle John wrote, “God is love” (1 John 4:8).
So what does this mean for us? Simply put, it means that we can trust God with our lives. He loves us unconditionally, no matter what we do or how we behave. He is always faithful and always ready to forgive us when we come to Him in repentance.
We don’t have to earn God’s love; it’s freely given to us through faith in Jesus Christ. And because God is love, we can be assured that He will never leave us or forsake us. He will always be there for us, no matter what happens in this life.
Let’s thank God for His never-ending love and grace!
