The Grace of God

You may have heard the phrase “saved by grace through faith.” But what does it mean? What is grace, and how can we be saved by it?

Grace is God’s unconditional love. It’s His favor to us, given for nothing in return. Grace means that He loves us even though he knows all our bad things.

Jesus came to earth as a human being so that He could show us what true love looks like: selfless, sacrificial love-the kind of love where you would do anything for someone else out of pure goodness and kindness; the kind of love that forgives people over and over again no matter how many times they mess up or hurt you; the kind of love which gives without any expectation of getting anything back. This is the kind of love that God has for us.

When we put our faith in Jesus, His grace-His unconditional love and forgiveness-is extended to us. We are saved from the punishment we deserve for our sin because Jesus took that punishment on Himself when He died on the cross. And not only does His grace save us from punishment, but it also gives us the gift of eternal life-a life spent with Him in heaven.

When we receive Jesus as our Savior, we are made new creations in Him (2 Corinthians 5:17). We no longer have to live under the control of sin because His Spirit now lives in us and gives us power to overcome sin (Romans 8:9). We are now His children, and nothing can separate us from His love (Romans 8:38-39).

The Church

What is the church? The church is God’s community of believers-those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior. As believers, we are called to be active members of the church. This means that we should not only attend church regularly, but we should also get involved in serving and ministering to others. We should be using our gifts and talents to build up the body of Christ and reach out to those who don’t yet know Him.
