The Gospel of Jesus Christ

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news that God has saved us through Jesus Christ. It is the message that God loves us and has sent His Son to die for us so that we can be forgiven and have eternal life. The Gospel is good news because it tells us how we can be reconciled to God and have a relationship with Him. It is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes (Romans 1:16). True faith always expresses itself in obedience to what Christ commands.

Repentance and Baptism

First of all, we must repent. We need to turn from our old way of life and turn to God with a sincere heart, confessing that Jesus is Lord (Acts 2:36). When we repent, God forgives us and promises not to remember our sins against us (Hebrews 10:17).

The next step is to be baptized by full immersion. Baptism symbolizes dying to our old sinful life and being raised to a new life in Christ (Romans 6:4). So we need to follow Jesus’ command and get baptized as a response of faith in Him.

In the New Testament, disciples or Christians were first called “Christians” in Antioch (Acts 11:26). The word “disciple” means a follower. Discipleship is not about rules but following Jesus with everything we are, learning from Him, and growing in relationship with Him by spending time reading the Bible, praying, sharing our faith with others, serving, being in His community, etc.

Evangelism and Prayer

It is important for us to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19). As we take the Gospel to other people, we will learn how to share our faith with them and become more comfortable talking about Jesus. We should pray regularly for others both inside and outside our immediate community. Prayer moves the hand of God and brings about His will in our lives, in our circumstances, and throughout the world by influencing others to hear about Jesus.

We should pray regularly in a formal way and talk with God in our hearts-whenever we need Him (Hebrews 4:16). Prayer is about coming to know God better every day, not expecting Him to fix everything instantly. We can worship God in prayer by expressing praise for who He is and thanking Him for what He has done. We can also pray for others.

The Bible is God’s Word to us (2 Timothy 3:16-17). It is our standard for what is true and right, not just in spirituality but in every aspect of life (Matthew 22:29). As Christians, we need to make reading the Bible part of our daily routine (2 Peter 3:18). You can start with these passages about how to read the Bible.

We Want You to Experience Life to the Fullest

Jesus is Coming Again!

Did you hear the good news? Jesus is coming back again! This is part of God’s plan for us because He loves us and wants to be in a relationship with us forever (Revelation 22:3-4). We should live every day ready for His return and be on our best behavior.

Prayerfully consider these things and seek God for direction as you begin the exciting journey of following Christ. Remember that we serve a big God who can do anything: “I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done…” (Isaiah 46:9-10).

Discipleship with Christ

Discipleship is not about rules but following Jesus with everything we are, learning from Him, and growing in relationship with Him by spending time reading the Bible, praying, sharing our faith with others, serving, being in His community, etc.

Jesus talks about discipleship in the following passage: “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it” (Luke 9:23-24). Discipleship is not about rules but following Jesus with everything we are. We need to learn from Him and grow in relationship with Him by spending time reading the Bible, praying, sharing our faith with others, serving, being in His community, etc.

Encouragements From The Word

God says to us that “I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me…” (Isaiah 46:9-10). This means that He has the power to do anything.

He also tells us in Jeremiah 29:11 that “For I know the plans I have for you,” plans for good things. And not only does He tell us this but he shows it by giving us a Savior, Jesus Christ who died on our behalf so we might be reconciled with Him. That’s saying something about how much He loves each one of us!

And finally, John 3:16 tells us “For God so loved the world” – all of humanity – which includes you – “that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”

Living for God

At the beginning of Luke 9:23-24, Jesus says “Then He said to them all, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.’ “

Following Jesus is not about rules but following Him with everything you are, learning from Him, and growing in relationship with Him by spending time reading the Bible, praying daily, sharing your faith with others, serving, being in His community, etc.

Jesus says “If anyone desires to come after Me… If anyone desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.” This means that we need to look beyond ourselves and think about how to be truly happy by putting things aside so we can know God better.
