Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of the world. He came to this earth to die on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead three days later. The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is a person who lives inside of Christians and helps them know God better, understand his word more easily, be faithful to Jesus Christ, and grow in their faith. The Bible says that without the Holy Spirit living inside of us we cannot please God (Romans 8:9) because he empowers us to do things like resisting sin or unbelief when they try to tempt us into doing something sinful or to believe things that are not true about God. The Bible also says that “the fruit of the Spirit” is love, joy peace patience kindness goodness gentleness self-control. These fruits come from our relationship with Christ and his power through the Holy Spirit living inside of us.

We need to let the Holy Spirit do his work and change our hearts so we can be more like Jesus Christ and not sin against him, but sometimes we still sin because of weakness or by accident even though we want to please God.

Baptism: Our Covenant With God And His Church

After we become Christians, we should choose to be baptized in a church by someone who has been given the authority from Jesus Christ to baptize people.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” -Matthew 28:19-20

“Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” -Mark 16:16

“We believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.” -1 Thessalonians 4:14

Come Together and Worship Him

Church services are a time for Christians to come together and worship God. We worship him through songs, prayers, and listening to his word. Worship is also an opportunity for us to give thanks to God for all he has done for us. We can also pray for each other and for the world.
