The Gospel of Jesus Christ
The Gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ. It is the story of how God became man, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead three days later. When we repent of our sins and believe in Jesus Christ, we are forgiven and saved from God’s wrath.
God’s Love for the Church
God’s love for the church is shown throughout the Bible. In Ephesians 5:25, Paul says “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” Christ’s love for the church is unconditional and sacrificial. He loves us even when we are sinners, and is willing to give up His own life for us. We should love one another in the same way – with unconditional and sacrificial love.

Who is Jesus?
Jesus is the Son of God. He is the one who came to earth to die for our sins and rise from the dead. He is the one who offers us forgiveness and eternal life.
Jesus is also our friend. He knows what we’re going through and He’s always there for us. When we’re feeling down, Jesus can comfort us and give us strength.

Becoming like Jesus Through Discipleship
Discipleship is the process of becoming more like Jesus Christ. It is a lifelong journey of learning to obey Him and to love others as He has loved us.
In order to become a disciple of Jesus Christ, we must first believe in Him as our Savior. We must repent of our sins and accept Him as our lord and savior. Then we are called to follow Him, day by day, as we learn to obey His Word and grow in our relationship with Him.
The Bible tells us that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). So we can trust that He will always be with us as we journey towards a deeper understanding of Him and a closer relationship with Him. Churches can help us to do this. Churches offer Bible studies, prayer meetings, worship services, mission trips – all kinds of opportunities for Christians to come together and grow in their faith.
Baptism
Baptism is an outward symbol of the inward work God has done in our lives. When we are baptized, we publicly declare our faith in Christ and His work upon us.
Baptism is an act of obedience to Jesus’ command, found in Matthew 28:19-20, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
Baptism is done by total immersion in water, and it signifies our death to sin and our rebirth into a new life – one lived for Christ. Churches often hold baptismal services where they invite anyone who has recently become a Christian or who want to declare their own faith publicly to be baptized.
Reading the Word
Reading the Bible is an important part of becoming like Jesus Christ through discipleship.
Here are a few tips on reading the Bible:
1. Make time for it. Just like we make time for other important things in our lives, we should make time for the Bible. It’s a good idea to set aside a specific time each day to read the Bible and to also read it regularly throughout the week.
2. Read it with a friend or group. Reading the Bible with a friend or group can help us to understand it better and to apply it to our lives more effectively.
3. Read it from beginning to end. Some people prefer to read the Bible in chronological order, from beginning to end. This can give us a better understanding of God’s plan for us and for the world.
4. Read it with an open heart and mind. Sometimes we think that if we don’t understand something in the Bible, there’s no point in reading it. But this attitude doesn’t help us to grow as Christians. Instead, ask God to show you what He wants you to learn from His Word – whether you understand everything or not.
5. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand it! He is your ever-present helper who is alive and speaks to us every day!
Sharing the Good News!
Evangelism is the process of telling others about Jesus Christ and inviting them to come to know Him as their personal savior. It is one of the most important things we can do as Christians because it is through evangelism that we can bring others into the family of God.
There are many ways to evangelize, but one of the most effective methods is simply telling others what Jesus has done for us. We can share our own personal testimony of how Jesus has changed our lives, and we can also share the gospel message – the good news that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead.
