Jesus, Savior of the World

As Christians, we believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior. He is the one who died on the cross for our sins and rose again three days later. He is the only way to eternal salvation and is the only one who can provide forgiveness and eternal life. Jesus is also our friend and brother, and we can come to Him with anything we need. He is always willing to help us and wants us to come to Him with our whole hearts.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ

The gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, providing us with forgiveness and eternal life. It is a message of hope and salvation, and we can come to Jesus with any need we have. The gospel is also a message of love, and Jesus wants everyone to come to Him so that they can experience His love firsthand.

Prayer

Prayer is one of the most important aspects of our relationship with God. It is a way for us to communicate with Him, and it can be used to ask for anything we need or want. Prayer also allows us to thank God for all He has done for us and to worship Him. In prayer, we are able to come before the throne of grace and receive mercy and find help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

Scriptures on How to Pray:

“This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’” (Matthew 6:9-13)

“‘And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.’” (Matthew 6:5-6)

“And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” (Matthew 6:7-8)

Loving God Through Worship

Worship is an important part of our relationship with God. It is a time when we can come before Him and give thanks for all He has done for us. We can also worship Him by singing His praises and by obeying Him. Worship is a time to focus on Him and to connect with Him in a deeper way.

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” (Psalm 100:4-5)

“I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will sing praises to your name.” (Psalm 9:1)

Following Jesus

Discipleship is a process of learning to follow Jesus Christ and to become like Him. It is a journey of growth and transformation, and it requires time and effort. Discipleship starts with believing in Jesus Christ as our Savior and then committing to growing in our relationship with Him. We can do this by reading the Bible, praying, and worshiping Him. We also need to be baptized and connect with a church community. Through discipleship, we can become more like Jesus Christ and grow in our faith.

“Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” (Matthew 28:18-20)

“Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work.” (Titus 3:1)

Baptism: A Public Declaration

Baptism is a public declaration that you have decided to follow Jesus Christ and live a life of obedience to Him. Baptism is not necessary for salvation, but it is an important step in following Christ. Being baptized shows that you have made the decision to follow Jesus and become His disciple.

“[Jesus said] Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.” (John 3:5-6)

“Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, ‘Brothers what shall we do?’ And Peter said to them, ‘Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.’” (Acts 2:37-39)

Fellowship and Community

A church community is a place where you can grow in your walk with God through discipleship. It is a place to worship, learn about Jesus Christ, serve Him with others, pray for one another, find encouragement during times of struggle or hardship, be ministered to when sick or hurting, serve together in love for one another and those in need, and develop friendships that can become a family.

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” (Hebrews 10:24)

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:11)

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” (James 5:16)
