The Gift of Salvation Through Jesus Christ
Salvation through Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved from the wrath of God. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are forgiven for our sins and given eternal life. The Bible tells us that “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9). We cannot earn our salvation; it is a free gift from God.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news that He has come to save us from our sins. Jesus paid the penalty for our sin on the cross, and He offers us forgiveness and eternal life if we repent of our sins and believe in Him.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we invite you to do so today. Pray this simple prayer:
Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and I need your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite Jesus to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Amen.
If you prayed this prayer, congratulations! You now a child of God and have eternal life. Please seek out a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and be connected to other believers. We pray that God will richly bless you as you begin your journey with Him.

Becoming Christ-Like
Being a disciple of Jesus Christ means following Him and learning from Him. It also involves obeying Him and doing what He says. Jesus called His disciples to leave everything and follow Him (Matthew 4:19). He also said that they were to baptize others in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). Discipleship is not a passive process; it requires action on our part. We must be willing to obey Jesus Christ and do what He says.
The Bible and Discipleship
The Bible is full of instructions for discipleship. In the book of James, we are told “be doers of the word, and not hearers only” (James 1:22). This means that we need to not only read and study the Bible, but we must also put what we learn into practice. We must also be willing to share the gospel with others. The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) tells us that we are to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, we encourage you to obey His commands and share the gospel with those around you. Baptism is an important step of obedience for every believer. It is a public profession of our faith in Jesus Christ and our desire to follow Him. If you have not yet been baptized, we encourage you to speak with your pastor about taking this important step.
How to Pray
There is no one right way to pray. Jesus Himself prayed in many different ways, and He taught His disciples how to pray. Prayer is simply talking to God, and we can pray about anything we want. We can pray for ourselves, for others, for our country, for the world, and for any other need we have.
There are some important things to keep in mind when praying. We should always pray with humility and reverence, knowing that we are talking to God Almighty. We should also be honest with God and tell Him everything – our good news and our bad news, our praises and our complaints. And we should always remember that God hears us and He loves us.
Types of Prayer
There are many different types of prayer, and it is important to know which type you are using at any given time. The Bible records Jesus’ prayers in the Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36-46) where He asks for the strength to go on with what He knows is coming but also prays for His disciples and those who will believe in Him through their witness.
Prayer can be classified as either “adventurous” or “steadfast”. Adventurous prayer involves a lot of requests that God do something specific – such as heal a loved one, provide food during an economic crisis, overturn unjust laws. Steadfast prayer seeks protection from evil or temptation; comfort when going through hard times; or strength to keep going when we are weary.
There is no wrong way to pray, as long as we are honest with God and come to Him with a humble and obedient heart.
