The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit

When Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, the Father spoke from heaven and said, “This is my Son, with whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:17) A few days later, when Jesus was praying in the Garden of Gethsemane, He asked the Father to forgive those who crucified Him, “for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23:34) And in John 14:26, Jesus said, “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

These verses show that Jesus had a close relationship with His Father and that the Holy Spirit will help you build a close relationship with God, too. In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus told His disciples to go and make more disciples by baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. On Pentecost Sunday, there was a special outpouring of God’s Spirit on all people – both Jews and Gentiles. Peter reminded the people of this and was very excited about what would happen next: “Repent and be baptized, every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven.” (Acts 2:38)

1 Corinthians 12:4-6 says, “There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.” This means that no matter what spiritual gift or service you have been given by God, you need to use it for His glory.

Jesus Our Savior

Jesus is the Son of God. He was born of a virgin, Mary, and is without sin. (Isaiah 7:14) Jesus is the only way to know God. (John 14:6) He died on the cross for our sins and rose again on the third day. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) When we repent and believe in Him, we are forgiven and receive eternal life. (John 3:16) Jesus is coming back again one day to judge the living and the dead. (2 Timothy 4:1)

“No one has ever seen God, but if we love each other, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.” (1 John 4:12)

Communicating with God Through Prayer

What is prayer? Prayer is communication with God. It can be through spoken words, thoughts, or even songs. Prayer is a way to express our love and gratitude to Him, and it’s also a way to ask for His help and guidance in our lives. When we pray, we are opening up our hearts to Him and asking Him to work in us and through us.

Prayer is one of the most important things we can do as Christians. Jesus Himself prayed often, and He told His disciples that they should pray too. (Matthew 6:5-13) In James 5:16, it says “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” This means that when we pray with faith and sincerity, God will answer our prayers. Just like how Jesus answered the prayers of His disciples when they prayed in John 11:41-42.

How to Pray

Since prayer is talking to God, you can pray whenever and wherever God puts on your heart to do so. Prayer doesn’t have to be done in a big building with stained glass windows or on a Sunday morning. It can be done anywhere at any time, even when you feel alone. As Christians, we are called to pray without ceasing because God is always with us. (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

When you are praying, it’s nice to remember the times that God has answered your prayers in the past. Remembering how God has helped you in your life will encourage you to pray like He is with you right there helping you. It’s helpful to write prayers down before saying them out loud because it helps us figure out what to say and reminds us of our purpose for praying in the first place.

Worship God with All Your Heart

The Bible tells us that we are to worship God with all of our hearts. (Deuteronomy 6:5) Worship is a time where we can come before Him and offer Him our love and praise. It’s a time to give thanks for all He has done in our lives, and it’s also a time to ask Him for help and guidance. During worship, we can connect with God in a special way and allow Him to speak to our hearts.

Worship is an important part of our Christian lives, and there are many different ways to worship God. Some people like to go to church on Sundays and sing songs of praise together. Others may prefer to worship God in their own homes by reading the Bible and singing hymns. Worship is a time to reflect on God’s character and nature, and it can be done both privately and corporately with others.

“Sing a new song to the Lord, his faithful love endures forever.” (Psalms 33:3)
