Find a Church in Bareilly, India

The Church is the Body of Christ on Earth. Churches exist to make disciples who will bring glory and honor to God (Matt. 16:18) by displaying His character in all they do, including their jobs. Churches exist to be a light for others, showing them what it means to live life fully devoted to Jesus Christ (John 8:12). Churches exist so that people can come together in community with one another and experience the love of Christ through worship, prayer, fellowship, Bible study, service projects, and outreach events. Churches exist because Jesus said He needed His followers on Earth until He comes back again (Acts 1:11)! Churches grow strong by staying focused on their priority of sharing the Gospel (2 Cor. 4:5). Churches can’t do this without people – so ask yourself if you are doing your part in making disciples for Jesus Christ.

Jesus Our Savior

We serve a risen Savior who offers hope and new life to all those who put their trust in Him. Jesus is the creator of everything, including the church (Col. 1:16-18). Jesus was prophesied to come in the Old Testament (Isaiah 53) and He came exactly when He was supposed to (Gal. 4:4), dying on a cross for all our sins (1 Pet 2:24; Rom. 5:8). His resurrection is proof that we can be saved and go to heaven (1 Pet. 1:3, 21; Rom. 10:9; Eph 2:5-6). He came back for a reason – to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Matt 28:18) and will come again one day (Acts 1:11, Matt. 28:20; Rev 19-20). He wants to come back in our lifetime (1 Thess. 4:15-17), but only if we believe in Him and do what He tells us to do (Mark 16:14-16)!

The Power of the Written Word

It is the power of the Word that separates Christianity from any other religion. God’s Word is where Christians find truth (John 17:17) and it changes us into His image (2 Cor. 3:18). For example, when we read in the Bible that Jesus heals people who ask Him for it (Mark 10:52), we believe what the Bible says and we believe Jesus wants to heal the sick. We pray for someone who is sick and see that person healed, which helps us trust God’s Word even more (Matt. 9:18-25). When we learn in the Bible that only those born again can be saved (John 3:1-16), we understand how important it is to share the Gospel with others and lead them to Christ (Matt. 28:18-20). We also learn in the Bible that we should change our clothes when we get baptized (Acts 9:19), which helps us understand how important it is to

Baptism in The Bible

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward faith in Jesus Christ (Rom. 10:9-10). When a person chooses to follow Christ, he or she will be baptized by full immersion in water as a public declaration of their faith and new life in Christ (Matt. 3:16; 28:19). Baptism is the first step after being saved from sin because it starts people off on the right foot for life (Col. 2:11-12). Churches should baptize new believers as soon as possible so they can start growing together in Christ (Acts 2:41; 8:12, 36; 9:18; 16:15). Churches that do not baptize people are actually discouraging them from living lives devoted to God and are not very good at showing others how to do that (1 Pet. 3:21).

Communication with God: Prayer

Prayer is communication with God. It can be spoken out loud or silently in your mind, and it can be about anything – from thanking Him for a good day to asking Him for help with a problem. Prayer is simply talking to God like He’s your best friend.

How to Pray

There is no right or wrong way to pray – just pray however you feel comfortable. Some people like to kneel down when they pray, while others prefer to sit in a quiet place with their eyes closed. You can also pray while you’re driving, working, or taking a walk. The important thing is that you take the time to talk to God regularly and tell Him what’s on your heart.

Jesus taught His disciples to pray to God, and that’s how we know what His prayer sounded like. It was a simple prayer that you can pray to (Matt 27:46). We call it The Lord’s Prayer: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name” (v. 9:1-6; Matt 6:9-13). You can also pray to Jesus (Jn 14:14; Rom. 10:12-13).

God’s Will for Christians

Every Christian should do all they can to know God’s will for their life. God makes His will known through the Bible, prayer, wise friends, and experiences in everyday life.

Prayer helps us to know God’s will. For example, if someone prays for wisdom before starting a new job, God might show that person through prayer that he or she should change jobs because the current one isn’t right for them.

God also makes His will known by speaking to people in dreams and visions (Acts 2:17). He might even speak to you this way (Gen. 40:8; Dan. 2:19)!

God also makes His will known through the Bible, which every Christian should read daily so they can grow closer to God and learn how He wants them to live (Lk 8:18). Of course, Christians are unable to perfectly keep all the laws in the Bible, but they should still do their best to live by it.

God also helps Christians understand His will for their lives through wise friends, which means people who have been around awhile and know a lot about life (Rom. 15:14). Churches in Bareilly are a great place to find these kinds of people.
