Jesus

Jesus is the Son of God. He is one with the Father and the Holy Spirit, and yet he is also separate. Jesus was born into this world as a human, but he was also divine. He lived a perfect life, and then he died on the cross for our sins. Jesus rose from the dead, and now he sits at the right hand of God the Father.

Jesus is our Savior. He is the one who paid for our sins, and he is the one who offers us salvation. If we believe in Jesus Christ, we will be saved.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He is equal with the Father and the Son, and yet he is also separate. The Holy Spirit is the one who comes to dwell in us when we are baptized. He is the one who helps us to understand the Bible, and he is the one who leads us to salvation.

The Church: Marks of a Christian

As Christians, we can’t just go our own separate ways and expect to be effective witnesses for the Lord. Instead, we need to be connected to a church. There, we can worship together and serve together. Churches don’t exist only so that we can go learn about God; they also exist so that we can put our faith into action.

“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. And now I will show you the most excellent way.” 1 Corinthians 12:27-31

Praying

There is no right or wrong way to pray. Prayer is simply a conversation with God. You can talk to him about anything, and he will listen.

How to Pray:

1) Talk to God like you would talk to a friend. Be honest and open with him, and tell him what’s on your mind.

2) Pray for others as well as yourself. Ask God to help those who are in need, and thank him for all the good things he has done for you.

3) Get creative! There are no set rules when it comes to prayer. You can pray however you want, as long as you’re talking to God.

4) Be persistent! Don’t give up if you don’t get an instant answer. Just continue to pray because God is listening.

Reading the Bible

The Bible is God’s Word to us, so we should treat it with respect. Below are some tips on how to study the Bible:

1) Read your Bible each day!

2) Start with the New Testament. God’s Word is living and active (Hebrews 4:12), so it will speak to you in a new way.

3) Read your Bible in different translations, if possible. This can help open your eyes to new information that may be harder to notice in a translation you are used to.
