The Good Gospel That Saves Us
The Gospel is the good news that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead three days later. He paid the penalty for our sins so that we could be forgiven and have eternal life. When we believe in Him, we are saved and become part of His family. Before Jesus came to earth, man was separated from God by his sin. But now because of Jesus’ sacrifice, man can have a relationship with the Creator.
The Church is the community of people who belong to Jesus Christ. We are all part of His family when we believe in Him and accept Him as our Lord and Savior. The church is God’s plan for spreading the Good News throughout the world.
We Want You to Experience Life to the Fullest
Becoming Discipled by Jesus
The Bible talks about the importance of following Jesus through discipleship.
In order to follow Him, we must be willing to sacrifice everything for His sake and not our own. This means putting aside all other interests, allegiances, desires, and pleasures so that He is always first in our lives. Discipleship also requires us to live a life of love by loving others as Christ has loved us (John 13:34). And it means being committed to doing God’s will (Luke 22:42-43). We are called on to do what Jesus did – seek first his kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33) – which includes obeying him regardless of the cost or consequence. Finally, true discipleship demands that we share the Good News about Jesus Christ with everyone (Matthew 28:19, 20) – this means practicing evangelism (sharing the Good News).

How to Pray
When we pray, we are talking to God. We can talk to Him about anything we want – our concerns, our struggles, or simply our thanksgiving. Prayer is a way to connect with God and express our love for Him.
There is no one “right” way to pray. Some people like to pray out loud while others prefer to pray in their minds. Prayer can be formal or informal, and it can be done at any time – morning, noon, or night. The important thing is to be consistent in our prayers and to always be open to whatever God might want to say to us.
One of the best ways to learn how to pray is by reading the Bible. Jesus taught His disciples how to pray when He gave them what we call the Lord’s Prayer. In this prayer, Jesus teaches us to address God as our loving Father and tells us that when we do so, He will answer us (Matthew 6:9-13). We can also learn a lot from praying Psalms – 150 prayers written by King David that is recorded in the Bible. These psalms teach us much about how to have a proper attitude when we pray – joyfully, reverently, and humbly. The Bible also teaches us how to pray for others through the many examples of praying that we read about in Acts and 1 Corinthians.
